The company’s Chinese listing is named after its CEO
Kickstart means to “kick off a beautiful start for children.”
In the past fifty years, Ms. Wu has helped numerous families in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong whose children suffer from sensory integration dysfunction.
In October 2013, Wu Tuan-wen founded “Kickstart Sensory Integration Education Company, Limited,” formerly “Wholistic Children’s Development Center.” The company’s Chinese listing is named after its CEO.
With her rich clinical experience, Ms. Wu has walked side-by-side with parents and children on their journey to overcome trauma and emotional struggles. From its humble beginnings to the company it is today, Ms. Wu has devoted herself to the care of children. She promotes early learning, intensive programs, and teamwork by imparting her beliefs and principles about occupational therapy. It is our greatest hope that more families understand the importance of occupational therapy and how it can help children who suffer from sensory integration dysfunction.
Established in 2013
OUR MISSION
KickStart is committed to bringing children into the spotlight.
We are determined to identify and inspire every child’s fullest potential and to help parents get a better understanding of how to help their child reach that potential.
We emphasize the holistic development of children to enrich the quality of life for not only them, but also for their parents and the rest of the family.
KickStart believes that every case is special. Every child has his/her unique needs. Therefore, our goal is to provide a tailored treatment for each child. We also believe parents are the key to a child’s development. In addition to inviting the parents to participate in the session, your therapist will keep an open dialogue throughout the course of the day. He/she will describe the purpose of each lesson and assignment, provide you with daily things to work on and give advice about how to interact with your child on a daily basis. We aim to help you better understand the needs of your child’s sensory integration development and how you can address them. We believe that if both parties work together, we can kick off a beautiful start for our children and open up new opportunities for them in the future.
